We are holding a Bayside District JOTI/JOTA site at the 1st Sandringham Scout Hall on Saturday 21st October.

There will be a number of activities & games for Scouts and their parents from all sections to drop in and participate, involving a range of communications technologies and techniques, including having a range of radios (HF, VHF, UHF, Internet Linked) setup for Scouts to attempt to make contact with other Scouts and Scout Groups across our state, country and maybe even the world.

We are planning to be using the standard VK JOTA calling frequencies/conferences/talkgroups and from time to time trying a few different things too…

  • SSB Phone
  • SSTV
  • Maybe Olivia 8/250 mode around 7.071 USB (maybe other bands too)
• VHF/UHF
  • FM Phone (via VK3RAJ/VK3RSU)
  • DMR Phone (via VK3RSU & Scouts Victoria talkgroups)
• Echolink & JOTA / Scout conferences

And anything else we have access to and see some activity.
