Scout Groups consisting of Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers will be on camp at Camp Tarmaroo north of Townsville for the 2022 Jamboree On The Air and Jamboree On The Internet. Leaders and Parent Helpers will be ably assisted by members of The Townsville Amateur Radio Club to allow youth members explore the wonderful world of sustainability and technology with activities designed for maximum youth member participation with maximum safety. Some of the radio based hands on activities will include Radio Direction Finding techniques, Radio JOTA Quiz, talking with other Scout and Guide groups via HF Radio, VHF and UHF Radio, Digital Mobile Radio with ID 5051656, links to the world via AllStarLink 54607, formulating sending and receiving Morse Code messages and patrol based Radio Wide Games. There will be other activities designed to educate the importance of preserving the environment and an emphasis on powering technology with sustainable resources.
